Now you've got our opinion ... Go to the Genesis forum and ask them their take on the comparison. :P

Z FTW!

As long as you don't live in Tx,La,Ok,NM,Tn you can get good deals easily. In these states you need to fight, hustle, talk to 5 different dealerships and make them fight for your sale. 3 will reject you cuz they will think that they can get the next sucker... and the last 2 remaining will make it a murderous process and stress you out till you finally come to terms on a fairly good deal. The rest of the country gives Z's away. Lol.

Why would you pay more in those states? Just curious as I live in TN.

i drove to TN to trade for my Z.

They low stock on Z's on purpose to make you order one from the factory and upsell the fact that they are going out of there way. Also, the low stock is there to make you think they are low on models cuz of high Z demand and make you pay more. Nissan Z's are a hard buy down here. Most of us that bought new down here have complicated purchase stories.

Well we can add Kansas City, KS & MO to the list of hard to getting good deal locally. I tried for 2.5 weeks and just walked away. I finally gave up and bought my car in Chicago area. To be exact Lagrange, IL. An hour and ten minute flight one way and signed papers and drove home. :tiphat:

I got my Z last week and test drove the genesis and 370 back to back. Obviously the choice is yours BUT I will tell you this... the transmission of the gensis feels like ****. It doesn't deserve to be rated a sports car the clutch has to be fully engaged or disengaged before shifting gears the comfort of the car is absolute **** and more importantly hyundai is new to this "field of work." Nissan is experienced. Nissan came out with a car that is put up against a bugatti veyron. Nissan created SRM. Nissan KNOWS what they are doing and has a line and history of reliable sports cars which most all consumers have been more than happy with. Once again, the choice is yours, but I don't think you would've posted on this forum if you already weren't leaning towards a car :)

Disagree. 370Z's litter the dealership lots, except none like the one I want (loaded).

Out of curiosity, why do people cross shop the Gen C and the 370Z? One is a sports car the other one is not. Anyway, the best suggestion anyone can give you is to test drive them both and experience first hand what each has to offer.

How is a 2 door coupe with a turbocharged engine, typical sports car silhouette, sports oriented suspension, and aggressive styling NOT a sports car?

OP: Test drive both. Go over the interiors carefully. That's the only area that I tihnk Hyundai NEEDS to improve on the Genesis. Sure there's some things that could be better about the Genesis (and the 370Z), but the Genesis interior NEEDS some help.
