The 2013 Geneis coupe got ugly, I much preferred the looks of the previous generation. The Z is a more refined car and is truly something special.
Trust me - even if the Hyundai was faster somehow (which it won't be) you'd still enjoy the Z more. Every time I walk up to my car I smile :) That is hard to put a price on. |

it did get ugly.. idk why the car looks like its smiling. The Z looks aggressive, kinda pissed off if you ask me. That's what a sports car is supposed to look like. You don't want to win a race and be smiling, you want to win and then be like "who wants some more"
idk.. Z for the win.. always. |

Lol ur asking whether to get a z on a z community?! Lol we are all here because we like zsss. Lol go ask what ppl from hyundai community says as well. Weigh the 2 sites and u should know which car is ur type.

Yeah but like I said I think he posted on this forum because he already wanted a Z
and you're right the 2013 Z has a friendly front bumper but honestly atleast the headlights look aggressive.. I mean look at the genesis. Can we please compare it to something more like a series 2 RX8?... |

But yes I hate the genesis look it looks like its doing a angry face on purpose, like trying to **** something out. :roflpuke2: |
I don't like the new Z's outlook nor do I like the new Genesis. OP look at your plans for the car. If you want a reliable car that you won't tinker with and will offer a great warranty, hard to deny the Genesis. Sure the build quality isn't as great but the warranty will cover the entire time you won the vehicle instead of the typical 3/36,000.
Also, I can say that I have rarely come across a good dealer warranty service story. Nissan dealers or at least the service departments don't have good press on this forum. The build quality and performance of the Z is leaps and bounds over the Genesis. Remember Nissan has been doing this for decades, Hyndai is still new to the game and its more than horsepower #'s on paper. The Z chassis is fabulous the interior is sporty, you know what this car was meant to do. Sure the Z has its issues, needs an oil cooler, lack of brake ducts for cooling, expensive esther oil, chunky manual gearbox (more of a preference than an actual issue). If you want to enjoy the driving experience the Z is the way to go, if you are more concerned with a fun ride and protecting your wallet get the Genesis. |
LOL I just want to know at what point hyundai released that car and said "yup, thats good. Let's price it as high as the Z and everyone will come running"
I mean the Z looks like its taking a sh** too but.. when your in first place I guess you can drop whatever you want behind. |

I was also in your position, drove a 3.8 track and just wasnt impressed with the power (at the time). I also had a bit of sticker shock when I saw a 30k sticker on a Hyundai. I agree with everyone here, the Hyundais have gone miles in the last 10 years and feel they will soon outsell Hondas and Toyotas in many areas if they keep up the great work. For here and now though, the Z edges it out in all of the great areas for me. Looks, power, sound, and its a chick magnet...not that my fiance wants more women in my car or anything....but you will make the right decision. Also note resale value, Hyundais are far behind a resale 370z right now. If you gave me a free Genesis, would I like it and drive it?? Sure! But if I am gonna put my hard earned money into one or the other, it has to be the Z.

2011 Z Touring with Sports for $34,500+TTL....a good deal?
|
Just picked up a 2010 for 27k out the door with 8100 miles on it.. one owner car fax. Base model... IMO thats the price of a 2012 if you negotiate well enough

Sorry to bump a semi old thread but when I drive my fiances Genesis Coupe I get waay more compliments/attention than any other car I have ever driven. Someone even asked me if it was a Bentley lol.
