If not have you or anyone hit the Mass air flow sensor? do you have any lights like check engine? it sounds like a bad 02 sensor or Mass air flow sensor got damaged. Years and years ago i did an exhaust set up on my car and it fouled up the 02 sensor and i believe one more sensor that helps control the air fuel ratios and it did EXACTLY what you say above....
