I tried measuring the gap last night but couldn't get accurate measurements (1 am = ....) I'll try your method today. Based on what others have done here I think front is 15 mm max on stock rays. I don't like poke and I don't want rock chips everywhere either from too much tire coming out.

For the rear I'm leaning at 15mm, but want to get a more accurate measurement before I pull the trigger. if feel like the perfect spacer for the rear would actually be about 17.5 mm haha
if you're not going to lower your car 20mm spacers will give it a nice poke in the front. rear 20mm spacers will have poke. but again, the stock RE050A's are narrow tires (same size) compared to say the ContiDW's so it will look too narrow with poke on the rear especially if not lowered.

i recommend 15/10 (front/rear) or 15/15 (front/rear) spacers max on stock ride, sport 19's.

Kenchan is the spacer guru

No 20's for the front i for sure. And I'm think 15mm for rear should be good.

It's interesting you recommend even 10 mm for rear. Seems like 98% go 20mm or 25mm in the rear. But I dont want poke especially on narrow tires.

EDIT: I will evaluate if I want to lower/how much once I see how the car sits with spacers

hi zman- yah, the car just looks werd with narrow tires with wide stance unless it's lowered. then the added camber kinda blends the lines better tucking the tires inwards.. but to me, still looks kinda werd.
