Yeah I looked into clearbras 2 years ago when I got the car but for some reason I just didn't like the way they look. plus when you take it off i read about paint being different color underneath where it was.

I know you can do full hood wrap so it's not visible but that gets pricey.

After 2 years my Z has 7700 miles and maybe 4 dings in the front. I'm not sure if it's worth it. Dr. Colorchip kits are pretty cheap.

Can anyone chime in on their experiences. I want people who have had it for few years not the ones that just got it.

if you get high quality bra it shouldn't discolor under the paint at all. i treat clearbra like part of the paint (wax/sealant, etc). i too only have 2chips in the last 2.5+yrs with about 8500miles so i dont plan on doing clearbra either.

i do have clearbra along the side of the rockers though as my front tires kickup. im going to be re-doing that later this spring.

Hmmm I wonder if I get side skirts that stick out a tad bit more (like the stillen ones) will it help prevent the kickup of rocks.

If I don't I think the side of the rockers will have to be done because I always hear rocks being kicked up

if you're running stock front wheel offset you should be fine, but once you start running ET35 or less it will kick up and start hitting along the side and bottom area of the quarter panel arch (door side).

luckily for me i put the strip of clearbra on the rocker before changing offset so i can peel it off and remove the impact scratches and stains.

I'm ordering spacers next week I thinkk, so that's good advice.

sounds good. i just used a clearbra roll but you can get the actual pre-cut kit from autopaintguard.com they offer both splashguard and non-splashguard versions. but price is like 190.

i *think* this is the one i used. i remember it was 4" wide but can't remember the roll's length.
