Was a clear day for the most part and really cold and windy. So I'm driving my Z and all the sudden and not even on the forecast, a good amount of snow came down limiting visibility and made roads slippery....back end came out one time but no one was on the road and I was going slow.

I do have an intake -- the Stillen Gen 2. I seriously researched intakes (and this was my first mod) before I settled on the Gen 2. My rationale was that I did not want to remove the front fascia just to clean air filters. Turns out, though, the fascia removal is child's play (meaning even I can do it) and checking the filters on the Gen 2 take just as long. Live and learn.

Anyway, to make a long story short, I am very happy with the Gen 2 performance, but the Typhoon intrigues me. HP gains are good and the filters are totally accessible. I might do it (meaning once I seriously start thinking about something, I usually pull the trigger on it -- it is just another part of my disease).

On to the Koni's. They sit in their boxes on my table saw in the garage. Colin's hand is definitely broken and we will not have an estimate on the repair duration for a couple of days. Plan B is to take it to Taylor's (my other son) shop over in Davis, but this presents a couple of challenges. First, the owner is not as loosey-goosey with the shop rates as Colin's and I will pay more. Note that they have a very sweet alignment rack there that more easily accommodates lowered cars than Colin’s does.

Second, they are not open on weekends at all so it would require calling in "sick" one day. Then I will feel guilty the rest of the day for calling in "not feeling well" and our company policy does not have a provision for Paid Time Off for Koni's. They should, God knows, but they do not.

Plan C is to do them myself, but it would have to be in my garage and without a lift. I would have to go for an alignment anyway when completed.
