LOL, the tires in the pic are my 245 winters, they'll be off soon, then the 285's on my stock wheels will go on for a bit, then the 305's...but if the temp keeps up here and we don't get anymore snow i may swap them sooner then later.

did a little garage door maintenance. pulled both cars out, shut the garage door (G looked like :icon14: Z looked like :icon08: when i shut the door on them. :icon17: ). used wd40 to lube all the hinges and main springs, white litheum grease on the vertical part of the rails.

cycled the door 3x and checked torque on all bolts/nuts. wiped off excess oil and done.

since it was nice out, i cleaned my Z's butt with SpeedShine. it turned out the contaminants were only on the top surface so no need to clay. woot

Thats almost a billion dollar jackpot:icon14: If someone won last night and takes the cash payout its worth like 465 million!!! Amazing. I just hope some poor bastard won instead of some oil tycoon.

Obviously, I lost. :p That's okay. Next time, I'll win! Yeah, unfortunately, the poor bastards that win are the ones where the money appears to ruin their lives! They never learned how to handle money in general, and like anyone in that situation, they learn who their real friends are, and aren't.

Very cool.

happytheman 03-31-2012 07:59 PM

So what's the benefit of the battery? Longer lasting and lighter perhaps?

LakeShow 03-31-2012 08:20 PM

In L.A., Z is alone in NY. Spotted a nice silver 370z with Fast Intentions last night in Burbank area.

So I finally cracked her open for a few short seconds today and fell back into a really happy state and completely understood why I bought the Z.... :driving:

I much prefer the Z for looks over the GTR. As for power, the Z has enough. :driving:

:iagree: Was thinking about starting a poll on who likes which better. As for me it's the Z. While the GTR has performance, it's just too big & too much like a Mustang to me. For the price, I could think of a few other cars I would much rather have.

:twocents: YMMV

And use the GT-R as winter car because it is 4WD.

Meh, I wouldn't bother posting the thread. It would encourage disharmony regarding cars we all love. It's not really in the spirit of the community.

Just my $.02.

I'm alright, thanks for asking! :)

Went thru a drive through today and the tool that handed me my order said that I had a nice ride, but then went on to say he has a Trans Am that'll beat it, and that he figured the Tranny prob weighs four times as much. :shakes head:

What a douchbag.

happytheman 04-01-2012 03:22 AM

No idea. Doesn't really matter. Wouldn't have changed how I felt about him, that's for sure. :(

alcheng 04-01-2012 03:43 AM

How come everything's in Pink all of a sudden!!!???

Mecinoid 04-01-2012 03:52 AM

Sorry about your run in with the Trans Am owner. Not all Trans Am owners are jerks. However, I did find the Trans Am club to be all about who's faster than just enjoying their cars for what they are and each others company. Big egos over there. That is one of the reasons I like Z clubs better. It's not always about who is fastest. For some reason Trans Am / Camaro owners forget that. They do generally work on their own cars and they are proud of that fact. Vette owners... Nice people, generally older and many do not generally work on their own cars. The Z crowd you get a mix and that might be the reason the community is not so boisterous.

I own all of the above cars and like to think that I appreciate them all for their various benefits.

As for the Z: I changed the oil in the Z yesterday. Took about 25mins total and that included pulling out all the tools and clean-up etc... I figured out a way to do it even faster next time - Speed screws with the phillips heads in them and bending back the oil flap inside so that I can get to the filter and drain plug a little easier while on the ramps.
That means I only have to take out like 6-8 screw instead of 12-14 the way I was doing it.

Morning guys happy April Fools Day. Mec I agree with you. I've owned TA's,Camaro's, Vette's and Z's. I can tell you the Vette owners actually do wave to each other when passing and it isn't as much how faster yours is than the other guy. Sorry Happy but if I ever get my ZL1 it will be faster than yours LOL Yours will be better looking though and has a great personallity :excited:
