As far as v8 envy, you're on the wrong site bruh... our v6's at 3.7 ltrs are seeing four and a half second sprints to 60 and 13 second quarters with automatic Z's that only have aftermarket air filters and premium synthetic. Full bolt on Z's get 12.6 quarter time!!! NO f.I. needed, We do it on a v6POWER? Show us another v6 doing it under $45k??? Definately not your 3.7. Honestly, looks wise, both challenger and camaro look wayyyyy better UNLESS its my baby, the BOSS... She's the hottest mustang in 38 years.... But neither are f**kin with the Ford 5.0 powerplant. As far as our v6's. I think most of us are just happy to be driving a 6 that for the most part compares to v8 power in track times.. we don't have to beat or be jealous of 5.0's. We give challenger R/T's and camaro SS's something to worry about with a third less displacement. So where's the envy??? Lastly, we actually hit the 1g mark. Not almost? Not close. The. 11's and up hit it with the sport pkg. If we had to envy anyone on this planet of cars. The only car to envy when you drive a Z.... A Porsche. And honestly. Not feeling much envy when I see porsche's. :driving: |

Wait.. Out of all things, he is complaining about the Z's interior over the mustangs?
What is the real question here? I think its my english cause all i can understand from that post is: Camaros and challengers suck, and the Z's interior is something to complain about? |

Go easy on the kid, he's probably not old enough to vote. Troll or not, his opinions on automotive knowledge is probably lacking. (no offense OP). At the end of the day, they are just that, opinions. No one here is really flaming on the Mustang OP, so if that's what you're thinking, I think you should move on.
OP, there are plenty of Mustang vs. 370z threads on here you can browse through, although most will probably be locked. You come across as a bit defensive and combative, which is probably why so many people are giving you crap. Saying stuff like "the interior in my opinion is definitely the weak link of the car for me and where you see its a Nissan" is not gonna win you points on a NISSAN forum. That Ford logo isn't any better. My guess is you've probably never been inside a Z and have only seen pictures. |
general consensus form reviews by individuals and mags is that the 370's interior is pretty nice so if that's the OP's main gripe and he IF he is not a troll, maybe he is confusing it with the 350's interior which I hear was awful

If anything, it seems to me like the OP has Z envy if he just got a stang but is on our forums and now is looking for external justification for his decision. he si also very loosely and incorrectly associating members who switched to stangs with his car. I haven't seen any members who switched to v6 stangs, only to the 5.0 which we all acknowledge as a great car.

The funniest part to me is when the OP says. A Z outhandle a mustang? Really? Its like he can't elaborate because he's never driven a Z. And if he has? Not hard or extensively enough to really make a comparison. NOW. Though the mustang is greatly improved. The mustang G's are .95g which is great for a car of that size. But that G, is a track recorded grip level. On the street, that same exact brembo'ed and suspensioned Z drops to .87g which again, .87g on the street is great. But the lowest out sport models get on the street is middle 90's. Our cars still corner way better. Our steering feel is way better. Turn in feels way more precise and and flatter. As good as the stang is its just not up to snuff in handling. But it does kick *** compared to its muscle bredrin.

Ummm... the Brembo car is not .87G... it's up there at .95 on the same skid pads they test the 370. Not sure where you're getting that from.
If we really want to get into this, the 370 does not "really corner better" than the Brembo 5.0... if it did then they wouldn't match times in the corners (excluding straights) and the 5.0 would not be right on the e92 M3's heels around a full course. I've already shared my thoughts here comparing how both cars handle, so most of you know what's up. |
18 years old, V6 Mustang, nuff' said.

Mustangs are way too common for my taste; I'm sure they have their selling points, but I have never driven one, so I wouldn't know. What I do know is that I see maybe 1 other Z per week, if I'm lucky, and probably about 30 or so Mustangs.
