1st to 2nd a tad bumpy

you match speed with your arms/hands when you grab it, right? it's the same prinicple with the flywheel.

Not clutch work. At first I thought it was I as letting the clutch out too soon, but after working it and carefully doing shifting/clutch it was still jerky.

i see. the colder temps does make the tranny pretty stiff at times.

adding a weighted knob can help.

im not a big fan of the Z's clutch feel but ive gotten use to it.

for me though it's not so much the clutch action, it's the latency in the throttle input that throws me off since my G's throttle is very responsive.

I was thinking that it was a weather issue. The car never bumped this bad during the summer. Now that it is much colder, I thought maybe it has something to do with it.
