alrighty, how about using them to direct air to ps/oil coolers.. or just for the looks heh

ZForce 11-09-2011 10:12 PM

Subscribed....side piece would be nice and I would be down for brake ducting.

PasswordJDM 11-10-2011 12:30 PM

Today we start the exhaust fabrication for our project 370Z!

kenchan 11-10-2011 12:40 PM

hummm!!

TypeOne 11-10-2011 12:52 PM

Since when does PWJDM make exhausts???

Anyway, I'd be interested in a diffuser for sure. Also make a nice looking from lip...

I know you guys haven't ALWAYS made original designs. I'm pretty confident that the front lip you sell for 99-00 Civics is a copy of ChargeSpeed. Not trying to kick up dirt, but it's true.

Good work guys, only issue I have had is my radiator CF piece rubs with my hood since I got it. :( Sort of ruined the CF on a small portion.
Brake duct and new hood would be what I would like to see from you guys.

DLSTR 11-10-2011 01:56 PM

Ducts for cooling the brakes :)

How about a rear wing that is not ONLY beautiful to look at like the NISMO wing is, but it aso very functional at speeds over 140mph??? :)

We need brake cooling solutions.

How bout GTR style NACA ducts but ones that fit our hoods better. The actual gtr ducts are awkward and buying a new hood is risky... (fitment issues.) A nice fitting NACA duct would be great for engine cooling.

For automatic owners. The shift area isn't the most attractive. How about a shift boot that doesn't look overdone for the auto. Nissan should have made the shift area closer to the G37.

More solutions to modify our OEM steering wheel. I don't want an aftermarket cuz our hubs are hot but, I wish our wheels were thicker. Maybe a flatbottom version of the stock steering wheel

Design a power module for a manual folding mirrors so it won't be so hard for us to get them? I don't really care about it but I keep reading many people wanting them.

All excellent ideas. Definitely love the idea of a G37esque AT shift knob kit!

Other nice ideas -

More chassis braces or at least genuinely stiffer ones than those we currently have (e.g., how hard would it be to make a better rear tower bar?)

How about something resembling the Nismo S-tune wing that will bolt to the factory spoiler holes?

A fang duct kit for either brakes or intake.

Speaking of side mirrors, how about a set that is smaller (especially if the power capability can be kept)?

Drool.

What do those weigh and what do they cost (i"m guessing quite a lot..)?

christian370z 11-11-2011 09:24 AM

Subtle and tasteful rear diffuser all the way, there is a ton of demand too and yet no one has delivered. Those dry carbon seats look like sex.

So are you guys going to consider the rear diffuser? Would like to have. I could assure you I'd buy it.

370ZNISMO#704 11-11-2011 10:56 AM

370Z JT 11-11-2011 02:31 PM

Also front CF canards that actually flow with the car. MCR ones look funny to me.

I agree. I want these also. But I like the MCR canards. They will flow better when I add a lip kit. This could be something simple to make.

I've seen the name from time to time just haven't really looked into it. Just one of those things.

Glad your interested in the diffuser also. I want this to happen.

PasswordJDM 11-14-2011 04:28 PM

Just to give you guys a little update -

We are machining the exhaust flanges right now. These should be done at some point today. Tomorrow we will start making the tube cuts and bends to mock up the first prototype. It looks like we should have the first one finished by the end of this week.

As soon as we finish the exhaust, we will be getting the dry carbon seats put in, then handing it over to our composites shop to start mocking up the front brake ducts and rear diffuser.

Here are the exhaust flanges being machined, in house =)

kenchan 11-14-2011 04:38 PM

werd. i thought you were going to do front brake ducts and rear diffuser while you do something completely different. i must not know the password for passwordJDM. :icon17:

SPOHN 11-14-2011 04:49 PM

Either way this is progress. More than some can say. Way to step up. I'm so in for the rear diffuser. It's already bought in my eyes.

kenchan 11-14-2011 04:50 PM

woah lets' not get too ahead of ourselves. we dont know wat it looks like yet or pricing. :D

SPOHN 11-14-2011 04:54 PM

I'm not so worried. They know what to do. Plus based on the pics posted should give them a great idea. Price can be a concern but I'm sure it will be fair.

kenchan 11-14-2011 04:58 PM

i think it is time Red_Zed makes a comment to PWJDM fan boy.... :icon17: ;) hahaha

we need some love for the nismo please! there are NO body parts available for it and I need some CF bad!..

How about a front spliter like this one? Maybe mold it around the edges of the existing lip on the bumper.

Shouldn't be too hard, should it?

And some side blades like these:

Or like the ings+1 mentioned before..

I'm sure other nismo owners will be interested too... u'd be the only ones making parts for us
