As soon as the Password JDM Exhaust comes out for the Z, let me know and I'll buy it!

zóff 12-15-2011 12:09 PM

Silent shopper here!! placed an order too, I am really anxious about your exhaust. I am scheduled for an install on Dec 26 (fast intentions) but I really liked the exhaust you guys posted. Wanting to see if its done on time to see the finished product see if I change my mind =)

I hope this has not been covered before, but I dont have time to go through 38 pgs.

How much does the SS knob weigh? On the website, it says weighted shift knob to ultra-low weight. but does not give specific weights.........

Thanks!

SS knob just arrived at my door. The heaviest knob I got so far. Thanks for fast shipping and free loctite!

wow, PWJDM included that? very nice of them. :tup: 470g imho should be perfect for our cars. :p

apply a decent amount of loctite on the shifter's threads on one side (dont need to put a huge amount), thread in the knob, get the pattern to your preferred angle, and let it dry over night. should work just fine. :)

i like my shift pattern slightly facing the driver side. :p

I have a feeling us 7AT folks and folks interested in other mods, won't be getting much love on the PWDJDM thread for a hot minute. It looks like these manual shift knobs are taking away all the attention of everything else they are working on. Go figure.:ughdance:

Remember this:

P = Park
R = Reverse
D = Forward (why not "F"?)

I will bet a cookie, you get yours before Sacramento does.

Ok, there aren't installed pictures but I got my PWJDM shift knob today and it looks awesome. I can't believe these are so cheap because they look much more expensive:

FairladyZ10PG 12-16-2011 04:08 AM

Problem???

I've tried installing the new shift knob but ran into a problem. It appears that it will not go all the way down. There is about a 1/4 inch gap between the knob and the shift boot. I'm assuming I may have received a bad shift knob as I've also noticed a lot of loose metal shavings inside the knob when I received it. I will contact PWJDM and see if they can solve this.

You definitely want to clean out any metal shavings. They'll jam that thing up big time.

kenchan 12-16-2011 08:45 AM

Worst case place a collar or even wrap e-tape under the boot to raise it up. :)

TreeSemdyZee 12-16-2011 08:47 AM

Alright, alright! I can't take the peer pressure any longer.

Order 72403 placed. :happydance:

ZForce 12-16-2011 09:35 AM

I would contact PWJDM, they should take care of any mfg flaw and get a replacement shipped out. It does not look like a good fit. :tiphat:
