^^ But on the other hand it is good to live in an era where in order to distinguish reliability between brands or models they have to resort to nitpicking stereo knobs, little bits of interior plastic, and steering wheel button usability. As reliability goes up, standards go up and the nitpicking begins. This is a good thing -- except when you read about it.

Good as a quality comparison. Not in functional reliability...

I think you missed my point. Frankly if there were any differences in functional reliability, they would focus on that. There really isn't so they nitpick the fit and finish details.

Gots me an 09 and had noooo problems with it. Except for the bad hatch springs and a wiggling seat.

Bottom line the cars now are so good for the most part, they have nothing to write about are not needed in a job at the magazine.
