Default is it ok to use a power hose on the undercarriage of the car?

i think i ran over something on my way to work today, somethings that appears to be a puddle of dried mud. I immediately smell a strong odor and realized that that puddle of dried mud could be some dead animal.

so i quickly rinse the wheel and wheel wells with a regular hose and the smell reduced significantly. I can still smell it right now so i suspect that there might be more on the undercarriage.

is it safe to bring it to a car wash that does undercarriage cleaning? even a pressure wash under it will ease my mind a lil.

any suggestions?

You'll be fine driving through a car wash that sprays the underside of the car.

Yah, most auto wash undercarriage sprayers are power washers so I'm thinking this is ok. Personally I don't use high pressure.
