It is probably due to the heavy flywheel. In another thread, travis is putting a new lighter flywheel in, it will be interesting to see if it goes away. I can say this, it bothers me.
If you read what I said, it makes the most sense out of anything anyone has said so far. I seriously doubt nissan set it up to accelerate directly upon downshifting, as many times you downshift through several gears, or don't need/want to accelereate right away.
