Hey guys i just wanted to address a conspiracy that i have noticed floating around the web. Z1. on multiple occasions i have called them with varying results on customer service. I have ordered many parts for the z32s from them but...Has anyone had first hand experience with them. Hows is their work? Were they courteous at the shop? Were they timely in their work? And did they have a large enough stock of parts to complete the work your required? I ask this just because i was thinking of taking my 370 there when i get home from war, that part of Georgia is only a couple hours from home and i wanted to make sure my time was going to be worth it. Just look for some feedback on your Z1 experience.

I haven't had my car in their shop, but every time I've ordered parts from them (up to $4000 now) it's shipped faster than expected. Communication has been spot on, I also received an email a week after the order asking if everything was shipped correctly and if there was anything that could have been done better. I would say by the looks of things they have definitely improved on their communication. This is just my personal experience, and I know that everyone has different experiences as well. My .02

so far no bad experiences at z1. actually its been all great. I head out there quite a bit they take care of everything properly.

In terms of courteous, yeah. Never rude, but we always have a good time. They arent uptight at all.

Timely in their work, so far I havnt run into any problems. I order something, they get it in quickly.

What is in their stock is impossible to answer as they might have many items in stock one week, and none in stock 3 weeks later. Depends on who buys etc etc.

Generally though, just call them ahead of time and order what you need and then they should have it shortly and then take the car in.

I actually havnt seen anyone at z1 be discourteous yet. There are times in every business where if someone walks in and is completely unreasonable that they might get turned down or turned away. Those people would then of course go on the internet and tell stories about how they went in there as perfect gentlemen and the business did everything wrong. Pfft yeah right.

When your back, visit em sometime and you'll see for yourself. Before i started taking my car there for work and everything I just dropped by and hung out to see what they were about.

The 300zx is much harder to work on than the 370z. Any shop that can handle a 300zx can handle a 350z/370z. However i don't think it works the other way around!

I don't have any experience with Z1 in particular, but if you trusted them with your 300zx i would think you'd be fine going to them for your 370z.

EDIT: just saw you havent actually brought your 300zx for them to work on... but yea... i really can't see you having any sort of problem with using them for your 370z?

what type of work are you planning on having done?

I have ordered oil and filters, plus other parts from them. I have found their delivery to be spot on; I have received a follow up, customer service email from them after each order. I will continue to use them.

I love the fact that there such great people to talk to. Never quick to get me off the phone. They love talking cars.

Take care while over seas!

Z1 is awesome! My car broke down coming home from ZDayz earlier this year. I had my car towed to Z1 and they took care of me, gave me a place to stay, and kept me entertained while I was up there. I've dealt with plenty of shops first hand as a customer and even worked for a former well known VQ shop a few years back, so we worked with many VQ shops. Z1 is definitely top notch.

If I remember correctly there is/was another Z1 (blah blah) that was less than reputable. That isn't these guys.

I'm often at Z1 with Daisuke and some of the other Atlanta Z guys. Z1 is a great place to take your car for service. The guys there treat customer's cars like it's their own. The atomosphere is extremely friendly and customer service is great.

Z1 has always been good to me, ordered my intakes from them as well as oil change kits over the phone. Customer service is top notch, the person I get on the phone is always polite and professional. Shipping is faster than expected and they always update you promptly if something is back ordered.
