I'm seeing allot of 370z owners are Asian? What have I done by buying this car? Joking, but I get compliments all the time.

I drive my Truck, no one hassles me.. I drive the 370Z, they tailgate, cut in front...

Without going into detail, lets just say it makes me open it up and get the engine to the higher RPM's...

The 370Z just loves to rev to redline and so do I... Yes today was follow the Leader for a few Imports that tried to get some....I gave them some....Then may be online trying to buy more power right now....They know now that they should think twice before poking at a 370Z.. They know it is really fast and it corners like it is on rails...

Well interesting story, just got my Z a couple weeks ago and only have 400miles on the clock and breaking it in and taking it easy for now until 1,200miles. Anyways I was stopped at a red light minding my own business and all the sudden a blacked out 2012 Porsche 911 Turbo S with exhaust and his window down pulls up next to me. Light turns green and I'm not trying to do anything stupid but when I tell you this guy launched the sh*t out if his Turbo S and my god was he going so fast and ripping each gear. He definitely hit about 110mph from the dead stop and launch and he was gone. Interesting encounter.

In my 350Z there was only 3 cars that beat me...A Benz, A BMW, and a 911 Carrera.

I am sure that Turbo S was a sight to see...

Other cars are easier to deal with, but certain BMW's, AMG's and 911's are pretty Hard to spank...

Haven't tried them in the 370Z yet, but I know they are serious contenders...

^^I will say, was in a little cat n mouse with a 2012 CLS63 and I was able to stay on his tail till about 105mph, I was very impressed with the Z and also completely stock. When you have the Z in the right RPM range it really pulls vs the lacking low end torque.

Sweet. I have yet to have a run in with the 370Z but the 350Z wasn't enough.

Today I did let the 370Z run to redline several times...No Wife in the car. When she is in the car I don't get over 4000 RPM.

Only a couple of Imports not worth mentioning got spanked.. They thought that tailgating was a good idea, so I made sure to hammer the throttle and put an 1/8 of a mile between us... But they were a 240SX and some other Lexus.

But one day I will see a Benz again, last time in the 350Z I just could not catch the S500.

I get compliments from all ages. The best one was a dude on his cane giving me a thumbs up and pointing at the car. Most of the issues I get are from a few guys in their Camaro's.

Earlier this summer I was working the weekend shift and my boss was carpooling with me (he lives in the next housing development down from mine). It was about 730 pm and I was just cruising on the interstate on the way home when I had a some douche in a crossfire srt pull up next to me and then proceed to floor it. The thing that amazed me was even if I was provoked into racing him, all three lanes in front of us were packed with cars. He cut me off and then ended up using the median as a pasing lane and kicked up a ton of rocks onto the hood of my car. I was so pissed that my boss had to calm me down. Everytime I see the rock chips on my front bumper/hood it just reminds me of this and pisses me off again.

Living in Koreatown, about 50% of the Z owners here are Asian. A trend that I've personally been seeing is female drivers in a 350z. Even the last 370z I spotted was a female driver! Thought that was cool to share... Oh, and I'm Asian btw. Do I qualify for the fast and the furious?

Was that a modified 350? Stock for stock, I never lost to a 350 in my SRT (back when I used to race... dumb kids.:roflpuke2:). Always put a car length or two between us with ease.

Not sure if it's the same with the 370, but I don't do that stupid stuff anymore.

That's why I carry a full automatic proje t salvo paintballgun in my car. :)

I haven't had many encounters surprisingly.

The only encounter I had was when I was stopped at a red light waiting for it to turn green about 2 weeks ago. A second gen Lexus GS pulled up next to me and wanted to cut in front of me. I already had one guy in a BMW pass me earlier in the day, no way I was letting it happen to me a second time.

WOW... Is it something with Accord drivers maybe? I had one follow me on the Causeway Bridge (24 mile long bridge over water from New Orleans to the North Shore). He was up my A$$ so I sped off, created some distance pretty quickly then slowed down (65mph limit) and went to cruising again. Next I know he was up my BEE-Hind yet again, so I again sped off and created some more distance... this happened about three times till the fourth time I decided ok, have had enough, so I boxed him in with another large vehicle (it is a two lane bridge either direction) so he couldn't go anywhere, and completed the last 8 miles of the bridge going the speed limit... about 3 miles from the end of the bridge, he puts his flashers on... hmmm... by the time I reach the end of the bridge, a Causeway PD unit was staged waiting. The Accord came to almost a stand still and the cop very reluctantly slipped in behind me, now about 50 yds yards behind me... and stayed that way till I got to the first light. Cop's lights go on, I pull over, cop comes up to me and says "we've had some complaints about you speeding and weaving in and out of traffic... I didn't get a violation on you myself, so I'm not gonna write you a ticket, but just be careful"... now how about that? That Accord SOB called me in even though he was being the Jerk... the only thing I could think off is - pure Jealousy... he must have been GREEN with envy... Really? Sorry Dude, and all like him... I work very hard for my money, and this is my reward to myself - what a bunch of losers there are out there...:gtfo2:

Not annoying, but I do love it when the workers at fast food joints hang out the window to see the car and tell me it's badass. Although I do get asked if it's a 350 a lot.

I get a LOT of minivans and pickups checking out my car at red lights.. then they floor it and peel out when it turns green, like "see? my dodge caravan is every bit as fast as your car."

but the craziest thing is that lately.. in the last month or 2.. I get 'a lot' of ALTIMAS and SENTRAS staring me down then doing their best to take off on me at red lights. what kinda retardation is that? it's the SAME BRAND but like 2/3/4 models lower! :eek:

This car is a straight up magnet for people trying to race me. Its crazy i almost wish i had more blind spots so i didnt have to see these fools trying to get next to you or past you.

from the time I made this thread to now I have realized that the annoying people have become and less and less apparent. The compliments for my Z keep pouring in though, and those outweigh all the weird behaviors on the road. But i see the weird behaviors are a compliment as well, just in an unorthodox way. :bowrofl::tup::driving::happydance:

oh wait I TOTALLY forgot the MOST annoying thing about my Z!!! I should have had this damn car when I was 16 instead of 30.

almost EVERY time I pull into a coffee shop or mall.. and at red lights, medium-sized groups of giggly slutty girls tell me how sexy or 'hawt' my car is.. so I'm all like SCORE, WHORES!

In the last 24 hours I've had 3 douch encounters...
1st, new BMW 3 series, (not M3) rush hour traffic last night, drops a gear or 2 and punches it next to me. An M3 would never do that but the 3xx seem to have something to prove to themselves since they know they're slower. Didn't do anything , just thinking WTF. Actually he was the least annoying of the bunch.
2nd, nice turn coming onto a 45mph road. I like taking the turn at 45, gives me a little boost like a shot of espresso when it's all clear. This beo^#h in a minivan pulls decides to pull out of the McDonalds parking lot just as I'm coming out of the corner. WTF, have to slam on the brakes and nearly come to a stop waiting for her to make an illegal left turn. :ugh2:
3rd, getting onto the highway, about 50 feet before the ramp in a 35 zone, a new v6 camery had to jump in front of me. This is a nicely banked highway on-ramp. Man that ramp is fun when noone's in front of you. So, I have to cruise about 15mph slower than I would of and just putt around the ramp. Then he punches it when it's straight.:roflpuke2:

Had this guy talking on my driver side window to tell me how he loves 370Z... blah blah blah... how he is so amazed about SRS feature blah blah blah... and then he said... greatest thing about 370Z is... it's CHEAP!!!!

I get this alot also but for the most part I bought a 370z because I wanted something alot nicer than my 1997 camaro z-28 that I drove for 15 years, still have it mind you. Anyway, I wanted something nicer that handled really well and was sufficiently fast. Thats it, I've had it a little over a month and a half people in rustbuckets get next to me on the highway at about 65 look at me then take off, me I never adjust my throttle I'm simply in cruise mood and ignore them. 90% of them are in cars that it isn't even a race. Red lights, everybody tries to race me at them, well, if the driver is male and under 35 I suppose. Me I'm 42. I find it pretty amusing. Think of all these people that think they smoked a 370z on the highway or left one just standing at a red light. anyway, I did have one guy irk me enough that I did smoke him. This morning going to work an Acura TL got right behind me and tailgated me pretty bad for about 1 mile even though I couldn't go any faster because of traffic, so when traffic breaks he jumps over to right and goes full throttle, I let him get the running start on me and just go by me, I then dump it to 3rd, go full throttle and rapidly pull him back then continue pulling away from pretty badly I might add until I got off it at 95mph then of course 5 seconds later I get the obligatory he comes screaming by me. ;)

I'm starting to feel like its not the other people that do the silly things, its me who thinks they're doing it.

Cut it down because they are jelly. Last night I was sitting minding my business waiting for my girl to get out of the bar and I hear one of them exclaim. "that car is gay." I laughed and yelled out "thanks bro!" and proceeded to drive off.

A few nights ago, I was driving home when a slammed riced out pos mazda hatchback came tailing my azz instead of just passing me. Because it was after midnight on a weekday with not many cars on the road, I downshifted and floored it to pull away from the douch bag. With my mods I expected to just easily leave him in the dust. But to my surprise, that pos almost kept up initially. He must have had some fat turbos and/or nitrous.
This is just one example. I get the same from the minivans too! I get guys in their pos tailgating, revving at red lights, doing the screaming pass bys, etc. And its always the pos cars, never those in nice cars.

Man, I know exactly what you mena. Something about the Z draws jeleousy and rage and disrepsect. People constantly try and race me off lights, cut me off, you name it. I find it incredible a 30k nissan can draw such negative attention, people are idiots.

Haha man this happens to me all the time! I'm chillin at a red light next to a minivan and the light turns green and the minivans wheels are spinning. I'm like wtf really? how old are we now. This is usually middle aged men too. I guess it hurts their pride to see a 25 year old male driving a 370

it happens to me since I was driving my Rx8. I get used to with it and sometime when I full of it this is how I take it off. ( last time I used it it was last year when the fast and furious movie came out with a punk truck driver) 1. glance back at them even you are on the traffic light 2. rev your engine or even you're driving just rev up the engine 3. they will floor their gas pedal 4. just let them go and get back on your natural speed lol In my opinion, they might think wat a chicken are you but it better than wreck up your car. I used to wreck my car when I was like 16 or 17 I can't remember because of racing, I never do race anymore even Im on my Z or Rx8.
