No kidding. I was remarkably restrained in the face of such unwarranted douchebaggery because I did nothing back to this upstanding citizen.

What the heck? I did absolutely nothing to this guy. Very odd.
WOW... Is it something with Accord drivers maybe? I had one follow me on the Causeway Bridge (24 mile long bridge over water from New Orleans to the North Shore). He was up my A$$ so I sped off, created some distance pretty quickly then slowed down (65mph limit) and went to cruising again. Next I know he was up my BEE-Hind yet again, so I again sped off and created some more distance... this happened about three times till the fourth time I decided ok, have had enough, so I boxed him in with another large vehicle (it is a two lane bridge either direction) so he couldn't go anywhere, and completed the last 8 miles of the bridge going the speed limit... about 3 miles from the end of the bridge, he puts his flashers on... hmmm... by the time I reach the end of the bridge, a Causeway PD unit was staged waiting. The Accord came to almost a stand still and the cop very reluctantly slipped in behind me, now about 50 yds yards behind me... and stayed that way till I got to the first light. Cop's lights go on, I pull over, cop comes up to me and says "we've had some complaints about you speeding and weaving in and out of traffic... I didn't get a violation on you myself, so I'm not gonna write you a ticket, but just be careful"... now how about that? That Accord SOB called me in even though he was being the Jerk... the only thing I could think off is - pure Jealousy... he must have been GREEN with envy... Really? Sorry Dude, and all like him... I work very hard for my money, and this is my reward to myself - what a bunch of losers there are out there...

Hey Paul - I ha a very similar incident in my G37S on the Causeway a few years back. Dumb-arse tried to merge at the last second getting onto the Bridge on the southshore by jumping the line and couldn't make it past me and ended-up getting stuck behind three other cars.

He raced up to me once on the bridge and started running his mouth. I just opened my sunroof and flipped him off. He dropped back, pulled out his cell phone and waived it at me.

As soon as I passed the first crossover, a cop pulls out and follows me all the way to the draw bridge. Apparently, there was nothing he could pull me over for, so he just pulled into the next crossover.

Between the draw bridge and the end of the Causeway, the douche bag catches up to, pulls along side me and flips me off. I looked at him and just laughed. That really pizzed him off. I followed him all the way up 190 laughing at him as he looked nback in his mirror until I got on I-12.

If the cop had pulled me over, I would have pointed out the jerk as he passed up, and told the cop to go after him.

Glad I don't have to cross that bridge anymore!

Yep - I guess Causeway PD gets their share of what I'm going to term as "Phone Road Rage"... ie, if you can't beat them on the road, call them in and try to make their lives miserable just to get back... a lot of Douches...

Lucky Dog you - I see you moved to Houston...LOL.. Drivers there are worse!!! Maybe not so lucky??

Default So many other cars

I bought my 2013 Sport touring because in the grand scheme it is relatively low profile. There are so many other cars that are more onstentatious, more conspicuous so I am curious that this seems to be such a problem. I didn't get that attitude with my 95 Talon TSI, 98 540, 97 Volvo C70, 06 Z4 coupe, or my 78 280. I was hoping that when I chose a 2013Z over an 07 911 C4S I would avoid that crap - but I guess we will see.

Yea-let us know if you get the same attitudes.......i have been a lot surprised by the attention this car garners. It borders on embarassing.

I have to say it's really classy when you guys don't race after being provoked. But if you look at it from their point of view, they probably hate that because the 370 is basically saying "I'm better than you, you're not even worth my time". I know, people just instantly form opinions about you based on what you drive. Since I've gotten my Z, nearly every single person has asked me, "so how many speeding tickets have you gotten so far?" Ummm, none, just because I drive a sweet car doesn't mean I'm always doing 60 in a 25...

I wonder if it has to do with the economy at the moment in which you'll notice more envious drivers on the road.

Less than 2 weeks after getting the Sonata 2.0T, my mom's car was backed into at her work place. Several years ago someone rammed their truck up against my mom's car.

With my car? Someone tailgated and switched lanes, which left me with a scar on my bumper. People either tailgate me or swing over to cut me off as I approach the light. Every week I encounter at least one stupidity. When I drive a different car, like the Xterra, I hardly notice these problems.

My dad encountered an elderly Crossfire driver who kept provoking him in traffic (his Z32 TT). They were in bumper to bumper traffic, and the driver wouldn't stop messing around.

I think some people are just bait and provoke you in hopes you'll end up pwnd.

I've been noticing this a lot lately, too. I haven't been hit, but I have watched people zoom around me and literally miss my car by inches. I never noticed this in my Maxima, which is a much longer car. I think people just like to pass the Z in a more aggressive way. I always try to scoot over in the other direction but it still pisses me off.

I very much think this is the problem, less and less people are able to afford nicer cars...and when they see someone with a nice car (not just a Z) they tend to act up.

Happens on a daily basis to me. Always at least one guy on my commute to/from work where they try to race/tailgate/bait me into speeding. Said person is either in a Corolla or similar vehicle, or a Pep Boys special domestic or import.

I guess it doesn't help that I own one of the more flashier colors available and that I am only 25. Lots of older people are not friendly to me and give me looks at red lights.

I don't get the finger like I get " SLOW DOWN" from pedestrians in their driveways (not endangering them). Even if I am going below the limit, I still hear it. It just sounds like I am speeding.

I've gotten this. I was driving down a neighborhood street looking for a house number and going about 15 in a 20. This guy walks out infront of me so I stop. He says to me that there are kids playing in the street and I need to slow down. I told him I going under the speed limit and he just tought his 3 yr old that it's ok to walk out infront of moving vehicles.
