I am tempted to let them do the install.

that seams a little high, I think my HFC's were only $140 to install and it took about 1.5 hours, check around.

How hard is it to install an exhaust - just do it yourself, stuff payin some 16 year old apprentice to do the install.

I'm surprised a dealer would do this, considering it's illegal. Kinda cool nonetheless.

What's illegal about a hi-flow cat. It's a catilitic converter, not a straight pipe.

Last time I went for inspection, the guy was more interested in the state of my trucks windshield wiper than he was at the the tail end of my exhaust pipe. Well, I won't lie, he was a little fixated on my License plate right light that was burnt out, at least until I banged it with my fist. Then he became sceptical for a moment then plasted the sticker on my windshield.

I am glad the dealer is doing it, for many reasons.

Different states have different rules. In Cally, you can't move, change, or even breathe on cats. Not sure what the texas laws are, but I'm willing to bet they are more lenient.
That being said, that's too high a price.

^ agreed. I paid much less getting similar work done on a previous car. It wasn't the dealer, but I'm sure a speed shop is more than capable.

it's good to get the dealer to install it, because the sensors sometimes goes nuts and you can say the dealer installed it wrong...

^^ not really huh. should have done what Shumby did.

when he bought the G, part of the deal was to install a catback exhaust and HFC's whenever he gets it....lol..not bad
