Prices vary greatly with location. In Atlanta, (March 2011), most people selling their 40th were asking between $34.5k-$37k used. Nobody would come off their price, and all of those cars had 4000-7000 miles. I found one in Houston, TX, with only 1500 well cared for miles. I gladly paid $32k and shipped it home.
I suppose a car is truly only worth what is fair in the buyer's eyes, but the prices thrown around this site are often laughable at best. Yeah, one or two people may have grabbed a steal, but that shouldn't be mis-represented as the norm. |
