350 guys never nod back. Then again, a lot of 350 drivers tend to be middle aged women or Jersey Shore type individuals. Not all, but I've seen this a lot. For me anyways, 370 drivers usually wave back, flash their headlights, etc... I think its because there are far fewer 370 drivers and most who buy them are enthusiast. It's kind of like comparing this forum to the 350 forum. Just a slightly different demographic, but it makes a world of a difference.

unfortunatley the 350 demographic will begin to leak into the 370 demographic as the price of used 09's becomes more affordable to a larger group of people.

sucks.

New member here coming over from the G37 forum.

Not only will you see a change in the demographics of the 370 owners on the street, eventually the demographic of the members on the board will change. Radically.

Happened on the G37 board about two years after the car's introduction. What went from educated discussions on modifications and meets turned into a ricer's convention of insults and third grade behavior. Definitely not from the vast majority of the members there, but the board noticably changed. I bet the median age plummeted too. Blame the used car market.

I'm old (53), and had the use of my uncle's 1977 280Z a lot when I was in college. Back then, ALL Z owners either waved or flashed their headlights at each other. Those days are probably long gone. Most people are too consumed playing with their phones.

Face it, you are part of a small minority of the general public who is truly passionate about your car. To most people, it's an appliance, even Z's. Explains bad parking edicate (great thread BTW!), and mostly pathetic driving these days.

You guys are great. Don't lose your passion.

I plan on buying a 2012 Touring Sport Package w Nav (Gun Metal or Black Cherry) sometime next spring once the production lines get cranking again. I hope you guys can keep the faith until then.

I agree with you on the not many of us 370z owners being around. For myself I am probably the only owner in a 50 mile radius. I rarely see another 370z. Most 350's that are around I do the wave and or flash the headlights but only the ones I pass on the regular will do it back others just keep driving. Just a shame b/c well all I want to do is chat about the Z. I saw a guy who had a 350 and I decided to follow him since he was pulling into my sisters store, we get on a side road and he guns it, well its only a 45 and he turned into the parking lot anyway. So I pull up next to him it was in good shape had some nice rims on it and I said hey man nice car I really like your rims you have any engine work done? Response was a weird face and a huh? He went into my sister's store so I followed b/c I was going to talk to her anyway and we were the only ones in the store and my sister says what's up and I responded in a voice loud enough to hear me,"Apparently people can't take compliments anymore and just b/c they can stop on the gas they assume they are bad ***" Story get's worse but I don't want to jack the thread. Anyways yes I agree where is the love?

I could say that 350Z guys know that their car is not as good as an older 300ZX tt, yet alone our 370's, but I don't think insulting these rude pole smokers is the way to go. Many families have a sub-par member, and the Z family does too in the way of the Z33.
