I thought the Stillen mount was very stout but I shortened the shaft and dropped the backing plate on the shaft to lower the plate slightly and to tuck it

I thought the Stillen mount was very stout but I shortened the shaft and dropped the backing plate on the shaft to lower the plate slightly and to tuck it in a bit. The photos in my album show the finished look.
