Does anyone know if I have to remove the interior trim to remove the illuminated (does it matter) kick plates? I want to get it wrapped today, but I tried

Does anyone know if I have to remove the interior trim to remove the illuminated (does it matter) kick plates? I want to get it wrapped today, but I tried removing it last night for my installer, but stopped 1/2way for fear of snapping or breaking something.
Anyone have any input?
