As far as comparing the two cars, night and day difference. I loved the look of the G when it came out, and the specs on it, but when i drove it, i pretty much hated it. Car felt two sloppy in the corners, and just overall heavy. The Z feels so nimble in comparison its unbelievable. The Z also has some added chassis stiffening and braces that the G doesn't have, which may not be noticeable when new, after a few miles (especially w/ upgrades springs/shocks) will probably become more apparent. The Z has the rear braces that you will notice in a lot of the exhaust pictures, as well as the same "W" shaped brace that the Z33 chassis had, as well as a couple of braces in front of the front doors that connect the front sub frame to the body. Really it comes down to if you want a sports car or a GT car. |

its all about what type of life style you have.no kids?no grocery shopping,no fishing,no nothin...get the z..just drive..its all about you and your car..thats what i did!2nd week i got the 370..i went driving for almost 15hrs..took a lot of pix along the way..you only live ones..go all out..when you have kids.then its a diff story..definetly get the g..to be honest tho id rather get the is lexus than the g..zz'ss got a lot of blind spots even when parking and trying to look down your hood..lane changing..you really have to pay attention and take ur time..revearsing?..back up camera would be the solution to that..but other than all this misshalfs..the 370 is all about bzness..raw power and lots and lots of potentials..that's why i own a 350 n 370....if im going grocery..me and my girl would drive both cars...

Speaking from experience, bc I had a G37s and now have a 370Z I can tell you that the ride is very similar. Probably because it's the same suspension, same engine, same frame, etc etc. The G37 you can see out of the back way better and then on top of that you have a backup camera. The back seats fit more then small kids. I am always picking up a few girls with no problems maybe because I only like them skinny.
They both sound really weak stock, my G35 sounded way better. I never took the G37 to the track because its not that type of car in my opinion. I take my Z and now that I have an oil cooler and some other mods, it's actually fun. The clutch and flywheel suck, I don't like the feel at all and while do something about it in the near future also. |

wtf does that say? can someone elaborate please? lolANYWAY my thoughts on the G37s is that it still has the same clunky tranny, everything still vibrates like crazy, and the engine is still noisy. For a luxury car Id rather spend that $45K on a 335i. Quieter, more comfy, better resale, more torque, and you really get what you pay for. This is comming from someone who hates bimmers but luxury cars should feel like a luxury car.

one selling point for me was g35s and 37s are a dime a dozen, theyre all over the place. I rarely see any 370s ever here in baltimore, every once in a while I'll see a 350 but thats about it. So yeah I went with the 370, very happy with it too.

I've never been much of the fan of the g37, so it was an easy choice for me. I prefer the looks and sportier nature of the Z. Not to mention its much lighter than a g37 and less common on the roads. Just about everyone has a G around here.

Used to have a G35... spaced / sways / plenum / intake and to this day I have never ever felt the same "woah" from hearing the car just drive (low or high rpm)... Honestly... you cant really compare the two... the new VQ37 just does not sound anything like the old one... Still miss the sound... but hey - trust me it is worth it..

There is a price difference between the 370Z and G37 in price, especially if you get the G37S.

I actually wanted a g37s but after driving both I chose the z. It was also much cheaper but the g37 has the creature comforts that mine doesn't . I'll be totally happy once I get a nice head unit.
I came from a g35 coupe loaded with nav. I def miss the nav but overall love the 2 seater raw feel of the 370. No regrets here.

Price wise especially with the G "sport package" you're looking at around $40K, performance wise, the G is heavier and honestly slower. I've been in both multiple times and I still feel that the G is nothing more than a luxury watered down Z. Sure you can mod the hell out of it, but you're probably see better performance numbers doing the same mods to the Z. I also 2nd those who have stated that you see a G EVERYWHERE, which really sucks, this is also why I passed on the 335i, if you want to be unique and faster go with the Z. If you want to be super comfy, spend more $, have an analog watch, and see copies of your car everywhere well then the G is the logical choice.
