There was an accident at my workplace parking lot over the winter. The lot had frozen over after some freezing rain, and some girl in a POS VW or something slid out of control on her all seasons while driving fast into a parking spot. She struck a car, which hit another car that also hit a van. You would think that you drive real slow in freezing rain conditions, it's not like the parking lot was NOT obviously covered in two-inch thick ice.

Meanwhile I'm parked way at the end of the lot with at least 5 - 6 car spaces on either side of me, rain or shine, no matter what.

The parking lot at my work is shared with the DMV. It's always full. I cross my fingers every day.

Bad thing is many of those guys with nice cars really don't give a sh*t either, have seen it all too many times. Just last week while sitting enjoying my Pastrami Sandwich I saw a guy parked in front of me in his newer Lexus LS open his door wide and hit the parked RAV4 next to it and kept on stepping into the food joint.......

Everyone else be damned! I park where I want, and that is as far from all the douchebags as I can. Most people just don't respect other people's property and that pisses me off.

The Lexus LS isn't an enthusiast car. It's a mommymobile/rich old man's crown-vic. You need to park near an enthusiast. Not just some mommy/grandpa with money.

I thought having a "second car" would solve the problem, too. So I bought a new Altima Coupe but I wound up being just as a careful with it! Sorry, but money comes too hard to be careless the things it buys---just a character trait that's never going to change.

IMO, some folks just don't really think about how their actions affect others. Also, some folks do it on purpose, I'm sure...
