i just leased BMW 3 series. a few months ago, and i love the car and everything but i don't care as much, and its less stress to have to think about were to park or avoiding pop holes.

i got into a bad accident with the bimmer a few months ago and didn't even care about how it would effect the resale value cuz its just a lease :driving:

Kidding aside...

I was torn between the new Camaro and the Z. I'm waiting for the 550hp Camaro and then I'll sell my S2k to pick one up. :driving:

well lets be honest here. my daily driver is a BMW. hehe

are you talking about a Z06 and Zl1?

I know how u guys feel about dings and scrathes. I got my share of door dings shopping cart dings getting keyed, etc etc in the past. I couldn't stand it anymore and got a beater. I even got PDR training so I can fix my own dings just in case. :D

I don't have the luxury of worrying about my car so the beater is worth every penny. :D

1 year with the Z. I park in Canada when I go to Target. No dings.

2 years with the Mazda 3. Park cautiously everywhere. Got my first ding last week.

The moral of the story? I own too many cars. And people are jerks and can't park.

Sorry for the bitter post. But the Mazda 3 does not have Miata doors.

ZL1 :tiphat:

Not sure it will be worth the asking price though. My all time favorite car is the '69 Camaro. This is like a modern version of it. I could resist the SS (Z was a better car for the price...for me anyway) but you get it to 550hp for around $50k and it's quite tempting. I bet dealers will mark it up way too much for me to be interested though. Personally I think $45k is the most I would be willing to pay.

Too bad it can't transform too... ;)

I am superbly disappointed, no one gives a damn about anyone else's car. I have always been very careful with other people's belongings, including cars, long before I even owned a vehicle of my own.

Damn it...

Funny, I used to believe I was the only person that thought that way about people. Even if they do think we're douchebags or just weird for parking further away from everyone else, and some people really do, who cares.. It's your car; you decide where it goes. Unless of course it's an assigned parking, then that's a whole different story. Sorry about the dents/scratches :shakes head:

I think he just buys a new car once the one he's driving gets a door ding. Money well spent!:happydance:

KillerBee370 05-18-2011 10:17 PM

F that. Noone's good enough to park next to me. I'll continue parking in another time zone in a parking lot.

Nismoracer 05-18-2011 10:36 PM

Nothing wrong with parking where no one parks. It doesn't show your too good, it shows you care about your car. I only drive my car for pleasure. Have a truck that I drive everywhere and your right.....people do not care. Its almost like they think they don't have to respect anything anymore. And def don't park next to big trucks and mini vans

the price will come down. ya the 370z is probably better value than the SS i understand that. but like you said the ZL1 will be one BA ride.

Personally, when I see a really nice car parked out away from the unwashed-masses, I think "Good for them". At least when they're parked in a spot like normal people. When they park sideways across multiple spots, I still think they're a douche.

bflosabre91 05-19-2011 09:25 AM

i kinda thought that too when i park at work. but luckily for me, i pretty much only deal with 2% of the people that work here so i just don't give a crap what they think about where i park. i would imagine most probably don't care, but it they do think its snobby for me to park far then ill just let them keep thinking that.

You care too much about people's feelings. If you didn't worry so much that some little bitch would start whining about how you are "too good" to park near him, none of this would have happened. :stirthepot:

Seriously though, the average person isn't an attractive thing. Avoid them when possible. You learned a good lesson, and it wasn't TOO expensive given other possible ways of learning the same thing.

Go hang out with other successful people. Park near the ///M or AMG or Z06 or GT-R or other 370Z owner at work.
