I do not think I get much better than 25 MPG, but I can't seem to keep it at the limit, so I do not know the real potential.

I love how much mileage we get out of our Z's. Hell, I get better mileage than my damn rental, a Chevy Cobalt.... that is shame.... SMH.

The best I get -- with cruise control set at 70 - 75 -- is 27 mpg. I think some of this result is caused by the 91 octane in CA. This is the highest you can get at the pump.

Also, the computer, as many have pointed out, is only an estimate. The only true way to determine mileage is the old-fashioned way. Fill the tank to full, drive a known amount of miles, fill the tank to full again and then divide the number of miles driven by the gallons just filled.

Don't forget, c410006, there are no points for second place.

I am correcting my previous post a bit. I used cruise control exactly twice -- just to see what the optimum mileage would be. I am more in econ's world as I tend to drive the pizz out of my Z's.

All I know is I can get the computer to consistently say 28 - 30 mpg on the highway with 93 octane

onzedge, your alot brighter than you look

You're telling me. My 3300lbs IS300 with the 215hp I6 only averages 20mpg. 18 city and somewhere around 22-23 highway. Yet your 3250lbs 370Z with its 332HP motor does better? Jesus.....

RedShifter 11-23-2014 05:50 PM

I just did a 100 mile trip all highway and the computer said 17.6 for MPG. I was crusing at around 70 the whole time. Right under 3k RPM's. This is a bit concerning because it's not anywhere near the 26 mpg it's suppose to be getting on highway. Why is it so low??

Spooler 11-23-2014 06:16 PM

Don't know. I get around 23-25mpg at Interstate speeds. 70-77mph. Low tire pressure can cut the mileage by 2mpg. It has for my car. I just checked my TP and they were low. Around 29psi. Supposed to be set to 35psi. My mpg drops, I check the tire pressure.

I have never seen 26mpg. I don't really care though. I just fill up and enjoy the ride.

Minato 11-23-2014 06:32 PM

26 mpg on trip computer at 75 mph steady.

Here's hoping....

Here's hoping once I get more miles on my Z the numbers improve. (only 1400 miles now)
I'm not seeing anywhere near the mileage of some of you guys are saying you're getting, and I'm running a larger Imperial gallon in my calculations. (5/4th a US gallon)
It is my understanding (from Nissan ratings) they'll get about 33 mpg tops on an Imp. gallon. That's about 26-ish on a US gallon, HWY mileage.
Forget what the computer says.....compare the fuel used against the mileage driven.

I haven't been all that concerned with the mileage I've been seeing so far because I expect it to improve with a little more miles on the clock, but I'm averaging about 22 mixed driving right now, per Imperial gallon. That's in the teens on a US gallon.
And FYI, in the past I 've always been able to get better mileage than the manufacturer's numbers on anything I've driven or owned, so it's not my right foot. When I say 22, that's nursing it. Dreadful mileage IMO.
Thankfully I buy gas in the US.

I just don't believe the 30+ claims unless it's a 5-10 mile trip t 60-70 behind other cars or trucks. I had the 2010 base coupe that got me a max, on just one trip of 200+ at 26.7 mpg, most other normal highway trips, I would get 24.5 mpg.

On my 2013 Sports package with 19 in., wheels, the best I could do was 23.8. At fast speeds of 80+, it's between 21 and 22.

cossie1600 11-23-2014 08:55 PM

I did 27-28 @ 75mph with cruise
