I have the red and it is beautiful. Fading has not been the problem. Problem is the paint seems to be thin and chips very easily. Rather than pain protection, spend for a ClearBra like I did. Get it immediately upon purchase and protect the front end and bumper from nicks and chips. The ClearBra will help a lot. My red Z is 18 months old and looks perfect. Red is no better or worse than any other color in this respect. The Z is beautiful in red.
