I am not saying I am a badass by any means, but no matter how big someone is, you cant let people do things to you like that. I would rather possibly get my *** kicked than to live with that feeling you get later on when you let someone do something like that to you. I had that feeling after a few mild altercations from my younger days, and it is one of the most awful feelings I have ever experienced personally. On top of that you must live next to this guy for at least the near future, and now he probably thinks you cannot be taken seriously. I dont know man, but this is definitely a bad situation now.:shakes head: |
some of my buddies are blue collar automotive type and they kinda talk like that sometimes. they pretend to roughen you up when they're trying to make a point by shaking you around. can't take it? then you're a pxxxy... well, in their world.
of course i tell them to get their hands off of me cause i dont take crap, but it's like a usual thing for them in their language dynamics. |

I don't give a flyin F*** what his opinion was, had he grabbed me by the neck we'd of been on. |
I agree with the three previous posts. Even back in high school when guys were 'play fighting' I was very uncomfortable unless it was a good friend.
For me when things get physical, they get serious unless I know you personally and we are both smiling and joking with each other. When it's a stranger and we're having a disagreement, the second physical contact is made by the other person, things escalate immediately. It's not always the best way, but everyone has a comfort level, and you should never presume to lay your hands on another person you don't know VERY well. |
Sounds like the guy is a typical redneck.. If you want to get back on his good side, buy him a set of BumperNutz and a shania twain CD.

+1;000,000,000,000 on this one. That arm placed on the op shoulda been broken outta principle but... Why did the op stay there for so long trying to have conversation with a guy he was able to see right off the bat, is an a$$hole??? Was he really that bored and had notthing better to do but force conversation with a redneck idiot? And after a verbal assault and physical disrespect your reaction is to clean your clean 370z? Honestly when the ahole new neighbor started talkin crap I woulda said have a nice day and minded my neck. Some people aren't worth your time and if you are telling this new guy, the last neighbors were meticulous and good neighbors, he might have taken it like you were all up in the old neighbors business and was being hostile right up front because of his assumptions. Maybe he don't give 2 sh1ts or doesn't care about the last neighbors and the op was annoyiing the crap out of him??? So maybe he became prejudiced and began spewing rhetoric to annoy the op on purpose??? There's always 3 sides to a story. We are only seeing one. The fault is on both parties for the negative convo but there is still no reason for that jerk to touch the op. |
Damn...so this is what it's like having Frost as a neighbor?

I am Native American, Cherokee to be specific and I drive a Z. Can't get anymore American than that.

I have a philosophy, if you're a "car guy" it doesn't matter where it is made. I have a buddy who is like that, too.
Funny thing is, a lot of our friends are into Harleys and have that "Jap crap" group-think going on. One of them is like "Dave, why do you drive that Jap car?" and I go "Because its' awesome, dumbass." |

You should remind him that you cant support GM because they took federal bailout money to finance their plants in China and Korea.
Going Global: South Korea First To Build, Sell New 2013 Chevrolet Malibu - Rumor Central Tell him you support Nissan because of their investment in US manufacturing jobs. What year and model Chevy truck does he drive? Hope its not one made in Mexico. LOL! Also let him know that driving old cars doesnt help manufacturing sector much either as many of the replacement parts come from outside the US and old cars dont drive new union manufacturing jobs he so proudly "supports".. If anything he isnt much of a patriot? Do you ask him if he shops at Wall Mart and buys cheap Chinese made stuff or does he go to local farmers markets to buy stuff and have expensive union craftsmen make everything for him? I love giving old school "americans" a lesson in global econmics. We dont live in the same world his grand parents did and we arent going back. Time for mr blue blood to become a patriot and embrace global economy. |

1. You sign his name and address to every gay club, magazine and newsletter you can find.
2. Find his email address and add the same. 3. Call his home from a local bar phone and ask for his wife and hang up. 4. Make sure you have a larger American Flag in your yard> Why because this 5 yr old mentality is the only thing this line worker understands. There is no reasoning with ****-for-brains. 5. Get a Fast Intentions Exhaust and remove the cats from your car. Point the back of your car at his house 8:00am Sunday as you leave for Church. 6. Tell him the Red Wings Suck San Jose Johnson. 7. Follow up on fixing up one of the old cars. 8. Have a block party without them. 9. Gut a deer out in the front yard when you know he is home. 10.Get a large fence and don't acknowledge his presence. Make sure the neighbors know the story first. The more asswipes like that leaving the state, the better I feel, but I am sad he ended up as your neighbor. |

then you know why they are built in canada, improve watever that is and bring it back. You got Canadians feeling sorry for us...why? Get the shiitt straight and build american muscle in detroit how it should be done. Stop crying over foreign car sales. If you build great cars no need to worry about imports. Too many whiners and :crying: |
To be honest, we buy a lot of American cars so I don't think we're the problem. I even bought my Z from North Carolina and had it shipped up here using an American shipping firm.
If I was big over buying local, why not just support your local dealership, regardless of the manufacturer? The people who work there are American and support the local community. |
He's crazy as heck but you were a bit annoying for a first encounter.
