DVC really turns off??

If VDC is OFF, it's OFF unless you're stepping on the brakes. I've done a 180 on the track after cooking a turn, and trust me, the car wasn't helping

If VDC is OFF, it's OFF unless you're stepping on the brakes. I've done a 180 on the track after cooking a turn, and trust me, the car wasn't helping me get out of it. If you step on the brakes, the VDC system reengages while the pedal is depressed though.

So I guess we debunked the ~10% traction control while VDC is off theory?

Maybe my car is malfunctioning!? I will have to try again to see what happens, but I read straight from the OM, which would back up what happened to me.

Hmmm I don't follow you. If you hit the button, the VDC is off. The slip light might still flash due to the ABLS, which is a computer controlled LSD. It doesn't limit engine output directly, it just apply brakes to the wheel that is spinning. Nissan has a safety bypass that doesn't allow left foot braking, is that what you mean? The VDC doesn't turn itself back on.
