I think my first stick car I bought used, the damage I did required new clutch & flywheel and new driveshaft (RWD) after 20,000 miles. Transmission was still okay and car itself had 180,000 during that time.

What cars has he driven in before the 370z? Safe driver or not, the 370z has a lot of blind spots and needs someone with experience who knows how to navigate a car with limited vision. I've been driving sub $25k sport cars with very limited blind spots before, so I know how to handle a lot of upcoming surprises, but the 370z is probably the worst so far for me. Also notice some threads where people got dinged or hit on the move. They stated "I didn't see them coming" or "they didn't see me." Why couldn't they see to avoid such situations? It's all about experience and sometimes it takes a few wake up calls and maybe an accident to realize how much attention is needed to drive there weapons of mass sizes.

If he's use to something like a "Toyota Corolla" where he's more dependent of the rear view mirror, he will get into trouble if the car is being used as his daily driver. My little brother is a slow/careful driver, but had a few stressful/angry nights where in result of bone-headed accidents.

I have a younger brother, but my firm belief is he is damn well over 18, so he could just get a job and take care of himself. Hell, I went through surviving part-time to part-time while going to college w/ tuition and loans for 6 years until I got where I am today to get me this 370z with ease. I am not smart and spent many nights with 4 hours or less sleep to catch up with my class peers. I know he's family, but if he can't take care of himself during extremes, he or dad will be coming to you all the time. Sometimes the best gift you could do to your brother is to have him grow up and survive. With the U.S. economy and the direction of the all-might dollar, everyone must learn how to survive one way or another.

Besides, nothing wrong with a $3000 used Corolla.
