This type of stuff really burns me up inside. I hate it when folks with handicap tags or stickers still park in the handicapped spots even if they themselves are no longer handicapped (i.e. recovered from the injury, etc), or don't have the handicapped spouse/child with them at the time. Yeah, they have a sticker, grant you that, but still, if NO ONE IN THE CAR IS HANDICAPPED AT THE TIME YOU PARK IT, DON'T PARK THERE. Bastards. Save it for someone who actually uses it. Just because you have a valid tag, doesn't mean you should use it.

I was TOTALLY in your camp until my mother got COPD and has difficulty breathing, especially when walking long distances in hot weather. She got a handicap placard and uses it when it's hot. If you saw her getting out of her car in a handicap spot, you wouldn't realize why she has the placard, as she doesn't walk with a cane or walker, nor uses a wheelchair.

FromG2Z 08-02-2011 02:18 PM

^ oh no worries moto.... That is a LEGIT reason. That's ok. But trust me, next time you are by some handicapped spots, there's some a-holes that abuse this privilege. How do I know? For example... there's a handicap spot by the Y. Who do I see park there? A lady in her 30's.... comes out, all dressed up in her work out gear, and RUNS TO THE DOOR hauling her backpack and water.

Ummm....

Epic Fail = Epic doosh.

moto_italia 08-02-2011 02:24 PM

^ LOL. I've seen them too. Probably some doctor's trophy-wife that got him to get her a handicap placard so she could dash into the salon when it's raining, and work out every day so she can stay in shape to keep the doc happy.

zmyride 08-02-2011 08:37 PM

I totally agree. there are more people who abuse the handicap spots than people who are actually handicapped.

Maybe they think it means mentally handicapped -- in which case they are justified, I think.

A few days later, it's business as usual in this parking lot:

hahaha. I'd be tempted to drive in there with my DD and just throw it in park and leave it wherever.

FromG2Z 08-04-2011 08:23 AM

OMG Luna.... you really were NOT joking about this place. Seriously? What is up with those imbeciles? They must do that on purpose. Has to be. I wonder why???

happytheman 08-04-2011 08:56 PM

It would probably be because parking spaces are in sheer abundance. Is that the case Lunaz?

christian370z 08-05-2011 10:00 PM

Took the RX400h instead of the Z to the gym today and parked in the area that no one else normally parks at. There was a car that was parked pretty far over in the space to the right when I first arrived which is why I am parked the way I am. Well, I came back to this:

I tried my best to resist the urge to lose my temper, although my brother had a much harder time. Also dropped the RX off at the body shop to have my brother's two accidents fixed, it should be done in a week hopefully!

birdmanx1 08-06-2011 06:34 AM

Christian, didn't you know that the Durango is now in the compact class? Large SUV is the new compact. Sorry to hear about the RX accidents

moto_italia 08-06-2011 08:08 AM

Factoid: 2 of 3 idiots don't know what a compact car is.
