Yeah he's within the lines but where I parked is where only a few sports cars are parked... Its a far walk. And this jackoff has to park in the spot right NEXT to me. I swear, it's going to be someone like this that give me my first ding.

Here we go again, sweet Toyota Solara decides to park wicked close to me, even though most of the parking spaces are open, awesome job! Im looking out of my office window every two seconds to make sure they dont hit when they leave.

That's brutal man. I doubt I will ever understand the allure of parking that close to anyone, and also parking in the adjacent spot in the first place. Every time I see one of these pictures I'm tempted to either start packing cones with me and a wet paint sign, or leave a bicycle at work and put it in the spot next to me.

Now that's just plain retarded... I'm trying to think of a reason WHY he/she would do that? The only thing I can come up with is that they are "protecting" you by parking that close... I dont get it though.

Hambone1 05-11-2011 02:43 PM

On second thoughts, if you're able to duck out of the office for a minute, maybe the perfect time for a "You parked like a jacka$$" page on their windshield?

I might just hop out of the office and go park it somewhere else.....really cant figure out why this person did this......its either an old lady or some idiot who just doesnt care.....i might go with your suggestion though, im in a bad mood and feel like pissin someone off. Maybe ill go leave a note on their windshield with a picture of my a$$

steveg78 05-11-2011 02:59 PM

LOL I would move it probably. I've left notes on cars at the work lot... Here's a fresh shot from today...

I dunno man. You parked far over and they are mostly centered. So unless the driver opens the door like a jackass there's no chance of your car getting hit.

Another thing i forgot to mention, i usually have another spot that is really safe and I usually take two spots up. Well turns out that some dude in a brand new white Honda Accord Hybrid parked there today and took up two spots. Funny thing is......( if any of you remember my posting last year ) I was hit by a white hybrid in a parking lot.........maybe this is a sign i need to move..........

I was showing my roommate those photos and this thread last night after shopping and walking around a few parking lots with her.

Hey now, I've acknowledged it, and bowed my head in shame. I think it was even earlier in this thread. It was right after purchase, and moved as soon as the picture was taken. Plus the Mrs. and I have both those spots (reserved parking)

Hehehe I'm just messing with ya, and I must've missed it if it was earlier in this thread.

I don't know if it was in this one for sure, but I know it was in one of the various people who park like tards threads.

onzedge 05-11-2011 06:56 PM

The title of this thread threw me off a bit. I had a great uncle once and his name was Crappy Parker. Go figure.

Bodytechz 05-12-2011 07:26 AM

Well, all I know is that when I test drove a 2011 370 touring/sports, yes, it was a tad noisy, but when I bought my Nismo I didn't have that issue, so to me anyway, I think it had something to do with the Bridgestones that were on the Touring and the Yokohamas are much more quiet, but hey, that's just my own personal opinion and if my order for the touring wasn't cancelled, then I would have been totally happy with it instead of the Nismo I settled for (although I do LOVE my Nismo!)

Chriz 05-12-2011 02:43 PM

^ wrong thread?
It seems like every time i try to park in no mans land, about half the time someone takes a spot next to me. It really baffles my mind. Where can i get those pen1s stickers?

Hambone1 05-12-2011 07:58 PM

My faith in humanity has been temporarily restored. Went to the store today, parked wayyyy out in no man's land, came out and just caught a glimpse of another car parked right next to me through a windshield. This was followed by some muttered obscenities, but when I arrived...shiny white 350Z sitting right next to me standing guard. Made my damn day

I was driving my brothers IS-F the other day, and some lady parked diagonally in a regular parking spot lol. I took a pic of her license plate only, just in case I come back to a hit and run!

Dude I have a folder in my cell phone pictures list specifically for license plates of douche bag parkers. No joke, and I rename them with location and make/model. Yeah I know, neurotic

The really bad ones will sometimes get reference pictures to show how close they were. I'm bummed that my work guardian just quit though, now I need to find another guy to shield me from the door dinging masses

m4a1mustang 05-13-2011 08:27 AM

I've shared this story before in a different parking thread, but figured I'd repeat:

A while back my girlfriend and I went to the pet store in my Z to pick some stuff up. I didn't park in the back of the lot, but kind of in the middle away from any cars. When we came out about 15 minutes later I noticed a bright red Ford F150 parked on my driver's side (I was facing inward and he was facing outward). He put his left side tires over the line (I was dead center) and left only ~12" of space between our cars. Surely the only way he could have gotten out of his truck was through the passenger side.

Realizing I couldn't get in from the driver side, I decided I had to climb in through the passenger door. Now, I'm 6' and about 240, so me contorting myself to climb through the Z from the wrong side isn't exactly the prettiest sight! I finally make it over and plop down into the driver's seat and what do I see? The F-150 driver (a redneck looking type) and his girlfriend walking over laughing!

So, I fire the car up, the girlfriend gets in, and I make full use of our metal door handles and open my door into his. Not sure if I left a mark, but mine was just fine, and I drove off (quickly). He went from :icon18: to  pretty quickly and I :icon17: as I :happydance: :driving: out of there.

Bastard!

Maybe the Solara owner thinks his car is as special as we think our Z's are. Logic would say that parking on the passenger door side of a shiny Z parked in no-man's-land is a safe bet.
I'd park next to you too if I liked my car.

Oh, right... I do like my car. :tiphat:

When a guy parks like that why sode he not just put a sign on it that says "Please Key or Otherwise F**k With My Car"?

Hambone1 05-13-2011 08:57 PM

Not only does the park job just beg to be keyed, the fake fender vents and god awful rims beg for it even further
