Now if anyone gives me grief about my parking job I don't have an issue going over the line when I am taking up the last spot and I am not taking up two parking spaces. Its also the farthest parking spots from the elevator.

On a cautious note to you bud, if the Red Box that mounted on the wall is a fire-hose, then I will park my Z away from it too, cause in case of a fire, firemen will not care about damaging the car park next to the fire hose since they need to access to the hose ASAP.

That's a pretty good point. Although I would like to think they'd be a little more courteous to someone in a legal parking space as opposed to this guy

Valid point but I am not encroaching THAT much into that area. Actually my tire is on the very outer edge of the box. Sure I would not want someone parking that close to the edge if there was another spot next to them but I think I would be safe in this case.

Good point though.

Plus you have plenty of space due to the angle parking spot next to you.

However in case of a fire alarm I would run and get the car and myself the hell out of the parking garage before the fire trucks get there and have the time to...

Because it doesn't matter if you are park right in your spot your car will get some type of damage, because they don't care when there is a fire...

The real question is: What would give if this guy took off? The foam or the rope? LOL

Firemen don't care. I've seen it and it is funny. And actually most states or cities have laws or ordinances against parking next to a fire hydrant. Usually at least 20 or 25 feet away. And if you do park next to one be prepared to possibly not see your car when you get back lol.

And it's not that they don't care, it's they can't care.

How can they baby your car when there are lives to safe??

Here in Canada too, if you park your car next to a fire hydrant on the street, you will get a huge ticket...

Honestly Nina, you should just put a cone at the front edge of the white stripe between you and that parking space.

Either that, or earn your sniper's certificate.

unfortunately, there aren't any designated spots and the traffic we get in this shopping strip is mostly trashy, young and/or undocummented

This car belongs to a girl I know... I thought it was pretty funny and somewhat relevant to this thread

I feel for you. I will take a pic of my parking spot, and then you can understand the craziness when I tell you about the 1935 mustang POS that parked way over the line and dinged my door anyway... Asshat.
