I said WTF man, and called him a bastard for not being observant to the fact that i was clearly knocking the dirt off my shoes before climbing in... He looked down at his shoes and attempted to assess the situation, stating "Look..." (at the lack of dirt) "it's ok". 
The fact of the matter is...there was a nice little pile of detritus...
The slob won't be riding in my car again.
