One of my coworkers did that once ... and that was the last that coworker got to ride in my car.

Another one that pisses me off is when I park in the back of the parking lot and the passenger says "do we have to park way back here?" No you fat fuckin lazy american, you can drive next time and park wherever the hell you want.

I try not to drive people that don't care about cars. I'm lucky enough to work with a bunch of gearheads though.

Last summer I was driving a lady friend home from a local wine fest. She was a little toasty. I had the top down and pulled into a Tim Hortons so she could grab a coffee.

Just before we were about to leave, a jeep full of teens pulled in beside us and they started raving about my car. My lady friend jumps up onto my seat with her dirty outdoor-million-people-trampling-the-grass-winefest shoes on to talk with the people in the jeep...

Funny, it was the last time she has rode in my car...

For those who say it's just a car...why didn't you buy a Camry? Obviously at the end of the day it is after all a car, but I think the majority of people here bought their cars because they have a passion for driving in some form or another. There's plenty of appliances with far more amenities and better mpg, etc for lower price.

I wouldn't call something I spent $40k on "just a car." There is nothing wrong in taking pride in your stuff. JMHO.

I wouldn't spend $30-$40k on " just a car " otherwise I would be looking for a used beater.. If you are spending that much, it should be something you keep in pristine condition and take care of, I plan to baby my Z like no other lol..In a way, this will be like a dream car for me..always wanted a Porsche..but my salary doesnt go that far and this is really the next best thing at more than half the cost

It's not a traditional investment per se, in that you're hoping to make a financial gain from purchasing it, however it is highly unlikely that anyone will spend their $30-40k with little regard to it's condition

Most of the computers we are using cost under $2k, which is WAY less than our cars, but we don't go dumping coffee on it, or putting our dirty shoes on it.
America is awesome, we keep our $30k cars in the driveway so our junk can sit in the garage.
