M1, Wix, Purolator, K&N, among others, seem to all get pretty good reviews around here - I personally use K&N oil filters in my Z and on my two 1970's Corvettes. As far as the warm up goes - I usually just wait about 30 seconds or so, and then go easy on the revs until the oil temp gauge is well off of the 140 degree mark.
