Good News for Texas Drivers

Higher speed limits make sense in big states with wide-open, rural stretches between towns.
When I was in Montana, you had to drive 85 on the highway if you wanted to get to the next town in less than an hour!

I don't see how higher speed limits would be a good idea in a congested state like NJ, though.

most of us are already doing 80 where conditions allow..
so there giving us 5 more mph!

A lot of people are already driving that fast there anyway, especially on the NJ turnpike. Of course this would just give them reason to drive faster
