Bought my 2011 Nismo used. 7,000 miles on it. Paid cash, $35,000. 56yrs old, widower, empty nester. :D

Also bought my 2011 used about a year ago. 1,700 miles when it arrived to me, wired $33k cash.

Got a crazy deal from someone who just didn't like the car.

Was 36 when bought, married, no kids.

Why didn't you put that money towards paying down/paying off your student loan debt instead of your car? Your car depreciates in value on a monthly/mileage basis. Its a bad investment compared to putting your money into your degree IMHO.

Although I financed 100% for 6 years, I own my car :) No one can tell me what to do or what not to do to my car. I can do whatever I want to it. So, yeah i think that makes it mine :ughdance: Also, I am not upside down and never will be :) with my scheduled payments. I plan to keep this car for a long time.

I'm proud to say that I financed mine... I bought my Nismo back in January and every time I submit a payment, it reminds me of the hard work and dedication that I put into this car. Can't wait to own her for good!

Yeah nothing like hard work paying off, or paying off hard work. :bowrofl:

I financed mine to build up my credit, first car took me from non existent to 750 in a year... Put $11k down, pay $430 a month, 4.9% interest, not great, but it's ok because my credit score didn't hold it's weight because it was all because of car payments which isn't a house and isn't revolving credit like a credit card...

(But I do have all the money to pay the car off in my savings account)

Got my entire car financed with around 3% interest. It's a 60 month loan so about 800 bucks a month. I got gap insurance through my bank as well in the unlikely event that I wreck in the price gap.

The amazing part is the insurance. I'm only paying like 600 bucks a year for 2 cars, one being my 370Z.

Paid full in CA$H.

Of course I had to play the "I don't know if I can afford this -- it is a really expensive car" when negotiating.

And then when we agreed on price, he asked me how many years I would like to finance for and I said "I will write a check". The look on his face -- priceless!!

kidkotic2001 10-16-2012 12:01 PM

almost paid (NNNOOOOOTTTT!

I paid for my 09 in cash but my 2012

32k

17 financed at 2.0%

Will pay it off by mid next year.

kidkotic2001 10-16-2012 12:06 PM

I am not upside down at all.

It'd be nice if this thread has a poll. I lost my count on "Who REALLY owns their z". Lol. But yeah I paid full in cash too.
