Also there would be more aftermarket solutions if people made a demand for it. Doesn't seem many people have wanted to make the at box look better.
Guess they weren't expecting the enthusiasts to buy the 7AT?

What? This car is an enthusiast car in every trim.

But there are inexpensive aftermarket methods of placing a proper leather boot there.

I do. I bought mine with a proper manual tranny and leather boot cover.

I'm still replacing that with wine colored leather.
