The Nissan literature says the 7at is for enthusiasts and the 6mt is for perfectionists.

The NISMO is for JD from Scrubs.

We just got a new Z roadster for my wife. Its going to be her summer daily driver and weekend fun car. For sure it is HER car though. She hasn't owned an auto since high school and insisted on getting the 6 speed Z.
