Idk about you guys but I take precautions so that I don't have to use insurance. It really irritates me when people say "it's just a car" or "that's why

Idk about you guys but I take precautions so that I don't have to use insurance. It really irritates me when people say "it's just a car" or "that's why you have insurance". Guess what? Yes, I have insurance and it'll fix my car good as new but I don't want to have to deal with the insurance company, I don't want to have to drive a rental, I don't want make all kinds of phone calls and changing my schedule or missing work just because somebody doesn't care about another persons car.
If everyone had common sense and common courtesy then we wouldn't be getting unnecessary door dings/scratches and our Z's wouldn't have to depreciate faster than they have been. It's like breaking your leg and somebody telling you, "don't worry, it'll heal". No, I don't want the pain in the first place.
