Actually on a recent episode of Top Gear, they said matte black PAINT was one of the worst to get. It's very easily damaged and extremely difficult to keep clean. Example, washing the car becomes more difficult and so does something like cleaning bird crap off the car. Don't know if it is actually like that, but it's what they said.

Like most things, it depends on which paint you go with. A lot of matte paints are really resilient, but some are pretty soft.

This is true. I guess they were talking specifically about the one that comes on the M3 since they were reviewing it.

I agree way to many, especially on the Z and Max....ughhh. Give us another "pearly" yellow variation, that would be hot on the 370.

The trouble with the orange is it looks faster going down the road. Everyone wants to race you and every cop wants to pull you over. I had a '80 firebird in almost the same color. Ended up selling that vehicle and buying a brand new nissan pathfinder in '88. My driving in that vehicle was more reckless and never received a ticket for the next ten years. the color? Black. There is no coincidence that the new z is the same color.
The favorite to have would be a highly polished raw aluminum with aluminum skinned bumpers. Show car all the way. I would need that megaball money to pull it off, and also would buy the shell helix acrylic Z to add to the collection .
/ end dream sequence.

I am a pretty big fan of midnight purple saw a R33 in that color and it looked sick.

but at the moment I would of loved to get my Z in pearl white. I wouldn't of had to completely repaint my Z when the amuse kit comes in.
