What premium would you have paid to get your Z in ANY color of your choice?

Well I was looking at a Koenigsegg (not to buy of course) at a dealer a while ago, and when I asked them to see what colors it came in, they said well whatever you want.

It was some rediculous price (mind you the car costs a million dollars), however if you ordered a new one, you would just walk in with something in the color you wanted, and koenigsegg would replicate the color.

Obviously Nissan would not do this for a $35k car, however IF they did, what would you be willing to pay for it, and what color would you want?

No real point to this thread other then to spark up conversation other than 390z's, SRM, VDC Off, first mod advice, and nismo vs sport.

Well, '10 BC owners and '09 CY owners, some of us paid the 500 dollar premium, so there's at least that.

But if I could get this car in a nice apple green, I'd pay 1-2k for that kind of thing.

I would pay an extra 3-5k for the exact color I wanted and if it was not sh1t like the current paint.

That is a tough question, it would be a toss up between a certain blue and maybe a really vibrant 'WOW' color (think like orange or something).

I tried this at the time of purchase. I was willing to pay $5000 that day for Nissans Cobalt Green. No way was the dealer response. Now I am happy with boring silver. $5000 has now purchased and installed all my mods. A much better use of money in retrospect.

Cobalt Green

prob like 1-2k for me. I'd go for a nice orange color. not like the metallic orange but maybe more like the mustang orange like this:

I think the colors Nissan missed out on are:

1. a bright orange like the later 350's
2. a nice medium-bright green
3. a dark blue

* maybe midnight purple

Red__Zed 03-31-2011 10:54 AM

2k-ish. I may remedy this by wrapping the car, although I am pretty happy with the red.

These spammers are another reasons you should pay at least a dollar to join this site. I bet that would stop it. Course you should support the site anyways.

But back on subject. I'd like to have a color such as our calipers. That dark grey I believe.
