Default Car stuck on curb ramp with wheels spinning

I've run into this issue a few times already, and it just happened again yesterday. Wondering if anyone else had the same problem..

So yesterday I was trying to pull into a plaza from a street. I was turning right onto the ramped curb. Since the car in front of me stopped, I had to stop with my front wheels on the sidewalk while the rear wheels still on the street. As I tried to start moving again, the car started hopping but wouldn't move at all. I saw the VDC light coming up, and turning VDC off did not help either. I suspect that the right rear wheel might have been jacked up by the other 3 wheels, and the lack of LSD(non-sport pkg) caused all the power to go to that free-spinning wheel. So I had to put the car in reverse, and try to pick up some speed and go through the ramp in one shot.

Anyone ran into this problem before? I was kinda freaked out the first time this happened, the car behind me kept honking as I kept rolling back into him when I tried to move forward. Also, I wonder if this only happens to manual cars. I've driven other auto RWD cars w/o an LSD and never ran into this problem..

maybe it's just your driving.

nono, this is typical on open-diff FWD too. ive actually done it going backwards up into a steep ramp in my Fit. in my case it was in a field parking lot so off-road... doesnt do any good for my lowered Fit.

yes, this happens to be quite often as I make a right turn to go up the curve. I drive a manuel car and Yes......it feels brutal. The car shakes violently and feels like you're scrapping the car against the wall as you gas it. I know its not damaging to the car or anything but it does get very irritating.

just a suggestion but you may try pulling in at more of an angle to help prevent it from happening again. This happens to my forklift at work if I dont come in at a good angle trying to get from the street back into my warehouse

I have the sport pkg and on occasion when pulling into my driveway, the right rear wheel will get a little light and begin to spin. But the LSD kicks in and the car pulls up fine.

This has happened to me a number of times, sometimes no matter what angle I approach the ramp/curb. It is definitely worse now that I'm lowered.

It happens. I have a base model so I just bought a LSD. Can't wait to install next week. I know it will be the $hit.
