I salute you. That is the way to do it. I wish I had saved more and spent less when I was your age. My only complaint about my Z is not seeing other Z's around here. Once in a blue moon I see a 350, but almost never another 370.

I salute you too. I didn't fare as well. I have Hank Hill DNA and molasses blood but I'll try to keep up.

Hang out over in the Lake Jacomo area and you will see a black cherry 370z, and I'll be driving it.

I have had 5 Rx7s before the 370Z and have had a sportscar continuosly all those years so this is not a new course for me. I start to tell them a mid-life crisis means a man turns 40, buys a red Porsche, ditches his wife, and runs off with a 25 year old blonde with big boobs. I must confess the Porsche would interest me but after being married twice, you keep the blonde. I want the car. Since the Porsche is out of my pay grade, I'll take the Z. As I begin to explain this, I ask myself, why do people think that (the whole mid-life crisis thing) and why am I defending what is not true? I have come to the conclusion that they are actually projecting their desire or dream on others. Anyone else run into this?
this just sounds like an excuse... you are having a mid-life crisis.

Being that I'm only 21 I haven't gotten the 'midlife crisis' line, but instead I got the 'are you trying to make up for something?' one. Thankfully this didn't come from a past partner of mine so it was easy to dismiss

What crisis am I having? Like some said, it takes some of us years to earn the money to afford one but I've had a two seater continuously since 1979...and my 68 Barracuda....66 Sport Fury (440)...68 Charger (383)...and the convertible Valiant. Folks remember, the crisis is about hitting middle age and trying to hold on to what is gone. I could care less. Like I said, I'd take the Porchse or Z, you take the blonde.

Midlife crisis? Just because you don't have a giant Buick and are not in the millennial generation? I disagree, there is nothing wrong with owning a cool car when you aren't in your twenties...sigh..what is society coming to.

OK, then here goes: Ken, your Z is too clean. And too silver.

I said two things:
1) it's not a midlife crisis because I don't have a convertible, or
2) I'm getting a new 40 yr old (40th anniv) and getting rid of the other...my wife isn't so pleased with this one (I think more so b/c she's not quite 40 yet). LOL
