The clunky noise is there even if you are perfectly smooth. Everything feels smooth but you can hear a small clunk as you push the clutch in. You have to be going pretty slow and quiet (radio off) to hear it.
The 1st to 2nd shift is only an issue for the power shift, i.e. what you would be doing at the drag strip. Under all other conditions it is perfectly smooth. I had the previously model transmission in my G35 and it would do the same thing on occasion. |
