FWIW the Camaro SS is still pretty quick around the curves. Yeah it's heavy but it's got some grip and does pretty well. It was quicker than the Z by

FWIW the Camaro SS is still pretty quick around the curves. Yeah it's heavy but it's got some grip and does pretty well. It was quicker than the Z by a few seconds at VIR in the Lightning Lap.
Ultimately it comes down to what you want out of a car. There's no right or wrong decision. Get what suits your needs and wants best and be happy!
