It's the general slang term for taking the car door and pulling on it, making the "flip-flop" sound. You'd be surprised, I once eyed down an entire line and found six cars unlocked. There were 21 cars in that line. It's rather disturbing, since it's not as affluent a neighborhood to be secure with not locking your car.

That should boost your street cred/rep/etc.

Yeah, my friend and I came up with that... I was meeting a new person and made that line but, as I quoted myself, I thought I would sound stupid. I did.
