Vette Owners Never Fail to Surprise Me...

I think he was referring to the coarseness of the VQ35/37 engine @ high rpm. I'm not a fan of it, either.

This. I currently own two (older) Corvettes as well as the Z. Plus, go drive a C6 and then tell me if you can't feel the difference - there's way more low-revs torque in a Corvette than there is in the Z.

I gave up my RX-8 because I couldn't stand a 9000 RPM redline. All my friends with their 6000 RPM redlines would tease me terribly, telling me to go commit suicide doors.

could be! but i got rid of all that the moment i start running castrol german, motul, and redline....it just doenst happen with these oils!

The VQ is pretty coarse at high RPM's regardless of what oil is in it, at least in my experience. It is nowhere near as smooth as any other performance engine out there.
