You're spot on. Handling/braking on the Z is good enough already. Just needs more power.

to me, the coolest thing about the top end american cars (viper, z06, zr1, zl1, gt500) is that they only come with a true manual transmission. if you don't like to shift, oh well, there's the nissan gt-r, ferrari and lamborghini cars

I agree. I'm 26 and I think it's the perfect age for the 370z. I honestly cannot see myself driving this car when I'm say 40 or older. I don't think I would put up with the road noise and the other issues if I was older. I think M3 land is where i'd be.

I am 40 and I will not ever get tired of the Z. M3's are a nice cars but I have three vehicles for the price of a new M3.

the m3 must be a very powerful car but it looks too conservative for me. there are a lot of less expensive cars that i would rather have instead of the m3 (like all the modern american muscle cars, for example).

WTF? I'm 54 and having a blast with my Z. There is no ideal age. To paraphrase "The Who"...I hope I die before I grow up!

i once worked with a chinese co-worker. she told me in her opinion, a man should marry a woman 10 years younger -- not because of immaturity issue but she said if they were the same age, after having had a few kids the wife would end up looking older than the husband

Oh believe me, you'll still enjoy your car when you're 40+, if not more. I'm 40 and what holds me back from enjoying it much more is not having any time to drive it anywhere except work and home, with the career and family of 5. But when you're older you can afford vacations and track days, perhaps even driving tours in Europe, which is what I'm into. When you're older, you can also afford more cars, which is not possible at 26. I have a car for every occassion. The Z would not have worked for me as an only car at 26.

Well I'm 21, but I met up at a Z meet in MD and there was definitely a huge age gap between me and the most of the other guys. There were other guys who looked like they were in their 20's bit also guys who looked like they were in their 40's. I'm gonna keep the Z for a few years and hopefully move on to a GT-R. After that I will have to see what cars are are available, but I do like Aston Martin.
